Vitality check
Our nurse monitors your vital signs according to your needs.
Among other things, we closely monitor your wound healing, pain symptoms and general recovery.
Changes are signalled in time so that quick action can be taken when necessary.
Pain management
Good pain management is an important part of recovery. Our nurses will help you
recognise and anticipate signs of strain or underlying complications.
This provides greater comfort and helps you move, rest and sleep better, supporting your recovery.
Medication guidance
Depending on your surgery, medication may be needed after the operation. Our nurses will support you in the correct use of these medications,
advise on the combination with your current medication and identify any
side effects or changes in your recovery.
Wound control - and
care
Observation and care of your surgical wound are essential for a good
recovery. We detect signs of inflammation or delayed healing
early so that this can be addressed quickly. For complex
wound care, suture removal or drainage care, you can also come to us.
Rehabilitation and mobilisation
We help you build up movement safely within the limits of your capabilities.
Early mobilisation can help prevent complications such as thrombosis.
Our nurse supports walking, exercises and the use of aids
such as crutches or braces, appropriate to your surgery.
Personal care
When you are temporarily less independent, we support you with daily self-care.
Think of help with washing, dressing or general care.
This is done calmly, respectfully and in line with your wishes and the aftercare you need.
Instruction and information
Your nurse will take the time to clearly
with you after your operation. You will be given an explanation of why certain advice is important
for a successful recovery and what you should pay attention to in your daily life to avoid
to avoid complications.
Personal care coordination
To ensure the continuity of your medical care, the
nurse, when necessary, maintains contact with your attending physician
physiotherapist or other healthcare professionals involved. In case of complications
we switch immediately. Also if you wish, we ensure a proper
nurse handover when you return home.
Energy management
Fatigue, difficulty concentrating and reduced resilience are common after surgery.
Our nurses support you in recognising and distributing your energy
so that effort and rest are better balanced and your recovery is as optimal as possible.
E-health / Imaging care
Postoperative image guidance is remote nurse care via a
video or telephone connection after your surgery. This allows you to be accompanied at home
by our nurse who will discuss your recovery, the wound and your symptoms
discuss with you, advise and instruct you.
